Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our home page and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected and/or submitted on the Ohiorevaluation.com website. Personally identifiable information is not collected through this site. E-mail addresses are not stored, nor are cookies attached to information received through this site.

If you are an Ohio resident, who owns property in one of the counties that is listed in this site, you may be able to submit information about the real estate you own in response to either a Property Record Fact Sheet (PRFS) letter you received from the County, in response to a yellow callback card (CBC) that was left on your door, or in response to an Income and Expense (I&E) questionnaire that was mailed to your business. A form for responding to a sales verification questionnaire, which may have been sent out by the County, is also available on this site. After accessing a form, instructions for submitting information specific to that form will appear. You will be asked for identifying information that is provided on your specific form.

The purpose of collecting this information is ensuring that the information in the County’s database is correct and/or to establish values for commercial properties based on the Income Approach to Value. However, the information you submit is not imported directly in to the County’s database.

The Way We Use Information

We use the information you provide about your property only to update the County’s real estate database and/or to establish values for commercial properties based on the Income Approach to Value. We do not share this information with outside parties. We have a schedule for frequently and regularly deleting this information.

We use non-identifying aggregate response information to provide information for the County Auditor’s use when valuing the various types of properties in the county. For example, the aggregate statistics on the number of responses to the Property Record Fact Sheet (PRFS) in a township might alert the Auditor to valuation inconsistencies in that township. Information from the Income & Expense Statement is stored by the class of property (such as apartments), not by individual owner name or by any specific property identifier.

We use return e-mail addresses only to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses are neither permanently stored, nor are they used for any other purpose. They are not shared with outside parties.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the ethical use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. The information you provide is housed in an Appraisal Research Corporation database, then transferred by hand into the County’s database. Appraisal Research Corporation has a schedule for frequently and regularly deleting the information that is in our database.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information

You can correct factual errors in the County’s record of your property by sending a request that credibly shows error to your County Auditor via either the e-mail address on his/her website or by U.S. Mail.

How To Contact Us

Should you have other questions or concerns about these privacy policies, send us an e-mail at webmaster@appraisalresearch.cc. For questions about your County’s privacy policies, e-mail your County Auditor using the address on the County Auditor’s official home page.
